There is a way to detox your body and lose weight at the same time. Through detox you help your body get rid of toxins and other harmful substances and this makes your body healthier. A healthy body is able to function better which in turn makes the food digestion process more efficient and eventually the whole process enables you to lose weight.

To really understand how to lose weight and detox at the same time you need to have one thing in mind. Both these actions need a lot of patience and willpower. Losing weight is not something that can be done from one day to the next and detox is a procedure that needs knowledge and a special way.

The best way to approach this is by following the guidelines below:

1. Whenever you decide to make drastic changes to your weight or eating habits you need to get the approval of your doctor. 2. The main idea behind detox is the consumption of natural foods, free of processed substances and chemicals. By doing so for some time your body will get rid of those bad toxins and start functioning better and more efficient. In addition the consumption of natural foods makes their digestion easier and faster and thus your body will be able to break down the foods you eat completely without increasing the fat reserves. On the contrary since the process is more efficient the body may utilize energy from the existing fat reserves to cover the extra requirements.

3. A very important aspect of weight loss is eating healthy food and foods that are low in fats and sugars. During your detox period your diet will consist of food items that are calorie friendly like fruits and vegetables, water, rice while at the same time you will avoid diet killer foods like sweets, meat and dairy products.

4. Do it slowly and gradually. We already mentioned above that weight loss and detox take time. You should not rush into getting quick results. What you should do instead is go slowly and gradually. Analyze your current diet and gradually replace items from your diet until you reach a point where the foods you consume can help you detox and lose weight at the same time.

5. Finally, do not overdo it. If at any point during the process you feel that something is wrong with your diet then stop and revise your action plan. People who are not used to this kind of diet may have difficulties in the beginning. This is normal and in some cases expected. What you should do is workout out a plan that you can follow without too much effort otherwise you will get bored easily and quit.

Why a 2 Day Apple Detox Cleansing Diet? Apples are a very good system detox cleanser and personally I feel doing frequent short diet detox cleansing is a better way to go. 2 day detox fits in my busy schedule and is easier to manage. If you have followed my blog you know I believe a detox cleansing diet should be incorporated in your daily life and be part of an overall healthy lifestyle.

First get a bunch of apples, it is better to get too many, then if you have extra you can juice them or give them to friends. Select a few different apple varieties. Delicious, Fuji, Pippin, or any of the hundreds of apple varieties that may be in your area. I do include apple juice but also herbal teas like peppermint and jasmine and water.

If possible get Organic apples and wash them well.

Think of different ways to make apples. You can just eat them as they are, chop them and even cook them. For dinner time I bake 3-4 apples about 20 min at 325 degrees F and put cinnamon on them. With a nice cup of Jasmine tea this is delicious and feels like you had dinner. You may find yorself fixing this on non-detox cleansing days, I do.

You can chop them up and add some water and maybe ice in a blender and make a shake. Blend different types to create your favorite. By applying a little creativity you can make this a good tasting and satisfying experience. I tend to find my taste buds get more sensitive when I detox so I find foods taste better.

To add to the cleansing effect take walks, do some deep breathing, take showers and use a brush to scrub your skin well. This all aids your circulation and stimulates your energy. A nice relaxing Epsom Salts bath in the evening is especially good for getting into a deep restful state to add to the rejuvination.

For a few days before and after it is best to make sure you are eating at last half of your diet in fresh food.

Apples have lots of fiber and the Pectin is believed to help remove heavy metals from your system. They hav a type of anti-oxidant called flavonoids which are good for you and may help prevent cancer.

Apples provide plenty of vitamin E, folic acid, and biotin. Vitamin C, beta carotine, potassium, iodine, silica, magnesium, calcium and some amino acids.

As with any fasting, it is possible you could have gas, bloating, fatigue, or headaches. If that happens lie down or take a hot bath. If the symptoms persist stop the fast and maybe contact your health practitioner. If you have any serious ailments you should discuss fasting with your health practitioner before doing one. Mostly these things are minor or do not happen but I have to say this to make sure you are taking a reasonable course.

No study I know of shows definitivly cancer will be prevented if everybody does just this one thing, or eats this one food, or not this other. Since people’s bodies and tolerance are different there will probably never be a “one size fits all” for cancer prevention. Our bodies change substantially during our own life. We go through deteriation and healing.

As beings with the spark of life we are served well by living foods. To gain detox and promote out body’s healing ability choosing fresh vegetables, fruits, grains and beans to be a big part of your daily diet will detox you.

More energy and less disease can be pretty much guaranteed to those who partake in making fresh natural foods, enough rest and exercise, and stress management something to study and practice.

As much as this blog is about body detox recipes doing specific detox activities has to be part of making the best effort to live a healthy and productive live by incorporating healthy habits and working to unload the unhealthy stuff.

Rushing into detox as a way to counter an otherwise unhealthy living experience is much like rushing to your doctor for a “fix me” prescription. I can only imagine how doctors feel when they see an overweight smoker have a serious ailment when he knows it never had to be like that.

Even detoxing and healthy eating will be substantially undermined if a person is not learning to deal better with the stresses life presents to everyone. When you are upset by anything, that is stress. Stress is your reaction to life. Resentment is the worst. It seems a natural reaction yet if followed, the poisons resentment, unforgiveness, and holding ill will generate inside you will fester into a destruction no medicine or fast or herb will fully protect you from.
