This detox cleansing tea recipe was created to stimulate processing of excess fats in the body, increase circulation, and provide essential antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals —a perfect blend of nutrients. This tastes great and will also clear excess mucas.

This will help yoy in undoing the effects of any holiday over-indulgence. I make a nice pot of this and work through the whole pot while working at the computer.

Just gather these items:

Enough freshly-boiled water to fill your cup or pot.
This is the amount needed for each cup.

1 bag of green tea
1 tablespoon real maple syrup
Freshly-squeezed juice of half a lemon ir if you are like me and like to have lemone juice ready to go all the time get a bottle of lemon juice.
Cayenne pepper to taste

Be careful with the cayenne: A little goes a long way.
Just add everything to your cup or pot or a french press. I use a french press and make a liter at a time.

This is much of the Master Cleanse recipe as it turns out so it is one of the most popular detox recipes but I added Green Tea. The Master Cleanse plan is a 10 day detox and if you wnat to do that get this book because it will help you to get through the 10 days better.

Juice fasting is a great way to detoxify your body. This amounts to having only fresh made juices for a period of time. A day to 3 days is easier to do but some have done 7 to 10 days of fresh juices only. The juices have lots of nutrition so you don’t have to worry about getting enough but you can expect to fell hungry without solid food.

I have read many stories of great experiences with juice fasting detox cleansing diets. You can expect to lose some weight too.

If you are new to juice fasting, it is important to start out slow. Doing a one day fast every 5-7 days is an easy way to get started.

Fruit juice is high in sugar, so if you are a diabetic you should be cautious of trying a juice fast. It may be better to stay with vegitables like celery and carrots.

A few good selection mixes

pomegranates and apple
blueberry and apple

Apples are excellent sources of dietary fiber, antioxidants and vitamins K and C. Recent studies also show that certain types of apples may contain UV-B protection that can protect your skin from the sun.

Carrot is loaded with vitamins and has a nice taste when fresh.

any of the citrus like orange grapefruit lime and lemon all work well together but may be too acidic and cause upset stomach.

Good juicers are available from Amazon and I list some in the sidebar.

It can be very helpfull to add some garlic, parsley, or alfalfa to the mix.

Keep it simple so it does not take up too much time or feel like an overwhelming task.

Preparations :

I like my juices cold so I keep all the ingrediants in the fridge. Wash them well and cut to size for your juicer.

This is a quick and simple to make soup that will energize and revitalize.
It tastes great too. You’re going to love it.

This recipe makes 2 servings.

Get these items ready at your counter:

1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup diced celery
1/2 cup diced leek
1/2 cup diced carrots
1 pound of spinach
3 cups water
1/2 teaspoon Thyme
1/2 teaspoon chopped garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil

Here’s what you do:

To get started Sauté the onions, carrots, celery, leek in a pan
with the oil and garlic.

Slowly pour in the water and add the Thyme, simmer for one hour
then leave to cool for one hour.

Puree in a blender, then put back in the pot on medium heat.
Add the spinach, cook just until it wilts, and serve hot!

This 3 Day Apple Detox cleansing Diet Recipe was recommended in the medical readings of Edgar Cayce, the famous trance medium.

It is important during 7 days before this to eat a light diet with mostly fresh food and avoid junk food.

Eat from  this list only for 3 days:

Pure water

Unfiltered apple juice

Apple juice vinegar

Any kind of Baker Apple

Pomegranate is one of the most powerful antioxidants. Green Tea is right up there too. The list of healing properties with both are very long.

When I make Green Tea I use 3 bags in a tea press and add a good amount of honey.

Honey is the combination of nectar — secretions from the flowers of some plants — and other sweet plant deposits that are gathered and modified by honeybees.

The ancient Egyptians used honey as an embalming material and treated cuts and burns with it. The Greek physician Hippocrates cured skin disorders with honey, and the Romans cleaned wounds with it. Even as recently as World War I, doctors treated wounds with honey. With the advent of antibiotics, honey fell out of use for its healing properties, but scientific research is now rediscovering honey’s natural healing power.

Researchers in New Zealand found that honey actually killed a number of highly contagious antibiotic-resistant viruses (“superbugs”) such as multiple-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE). The team showed that “honey killed 100 different strains of methicillin-resistant MRSA…” While this looks promising for scientists, health care, and hospital workers, the New Zealand team has not yet identified the powerful antimicrobial agent they believe to be in honey.

In a study published last month, University of Illinois researchers say that honey may act as a dietary antioxidant. In other words, chemicals found in honey could help rid the blood of toxins or harmful substances.

Honey is a little expensive but I use it daily anyway.

Pomegranates are a little tricky when it comes to getting the seeds out but my method gets it done in a couple minutes. Just cut it in half then into wedges. Use a fork to flip the pomegranate seeds into a bowl. I just eat that as is with a spoon but it occurs to me next time I will try them with honey on them.

Even if you have this once in a day as a snack you will be helping the healing power of your body. If you wanted to have this a few to even several times in a day you would only add to the results.

I lean toward having a daily detox diet that is not too extreme so am planning to devour a bunch of those little grape tomatoes as my next food event.

This Detox Cleansing Diet Pomegranate Salad Recipe is quick and easy to make. I think you will also find, as I have, that this slad recipe is very refreshing and invigorating.

Here is what you need to gather:

a Pomegranate

Some dark green lettuce, I used Romain Hearts here.

Some Celery, a few to several

A small Green Pepper.

Can you see where I am going with this? Are you starting to feel hungry?

2 of the major parts of this are powerfull detoxifiers.

Pomegranate is certainly one of the strongest detoxifiers and after I read from a study in Japan that after drinking 8 oz of Pomegranate for 1 year the people had redused the build up of plaque on their arteries by 20% I am looking for more ways to include Pomegranate in my diet.

chlorophyll is what makes plants green. The darker the green the more chlorophyll is there.

There are many known benefits of chlorophyll including:

• It has been seen to help in the growth and repair of tissues.

• Chlorophyll helps in neutralizing the pollution that we breathe in and intake everyday – a good supplement for smokers

Now on with our lovely salad.

I like to just chop the Romaine, celery, and pepper into a bowl then add the Pomegranate ofer that.

I take a fresh whole pomegranate and cut it in half, then into wedges. That seems to be the easiest way to get the little pomegranate pieces out. I use a fork and just flip them right into the bowl. I add no oil since the Pomegranate provides lots of nice flavor. I find the fresh Pomegranate less tart than many of the juices. I am not sure why that is. Look for my post when I do a fresh juicing of these. I think they will go good with the grapes.

I am starting work on a whole book of recipes, though I think it may take a while since I develop my recipes one at a time by experimenting
